So, I finished my teaching assignment on Zoho and overall I thought it went pretty well.  Joni and I teamed up to do a bit of a comparison between Google Docs and Zoho and in doing this we came to the conclusion that both have strengths that could be used in various situations.  The thing that I really like about Zoho though, is that there are so many applications.  You can do so many things within one area.

I find that many people are very used to using Google Docs, so they have a hard time trying something new.  My conclusion is why not use both?  The collaboration part of Zoho is very much a focus, so it’s great to use this tool when collaboration is necessary.  Zoho is easy to use and it really doesn’t take long to get used to it. They have great customer service as well.  When I had some difficulties or questions I contacted them and they responded within one or two days.  I really appreciated this about Zoho.  The applications on Zoho are really great and fun to use, so I will definitely continue to use these applications and I hope that those who heard my presentation will take the plunge and give it a try.

For those who did hear my presentation, I apologize for the length of time it took.  It was really difficult to explain all that Zoho has to offer within a 10 -15 minute time frame.  If I were to do this again I would probably focus in on more specific applications instead of trying to cover them all.

I found it interesting that even though this was an online presentation and not face-to-face, I still felt the nerves.  I do think that this was a valuable experience and I know with each opportunity like this it will get easier and easier.  Oh, and note to self: Slow down when screen sharing.   I will have to remember that for next time as well.
